Our History
Seaside Assembly was established in 1941 by a passionate and inspiring woman named, Grace Henderson. The church began originally with the name, "Gospel Tabernacle of Seaside" at its current location with a handful of believers meeting in a tent. Over the past 80 years, there have been many people who have attended our worship gatherings, but there has been one constant through it all; a community of believers who love Jesus with all of their hearts, and a desire to see every person in Seaside come to know a powerful, loving, gracious God.
Seaside Assembly Today:
Today, Seaside Assembly is a community of believers that is committed to living out God's Word with one another. We believe that Jesus Is God and that eternal life has been given to all who believe in Jesus as God's Son. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God that reveals His Truth and His desire for how we, His creation, ought to live in this world. As a church, we are committed to making the city a better place through humanitarian outreach and assistance, but most importantly, by communicating the Hope and salvation we have in our friend, Jesus. Our community meets every week to worship, pray, and encourage one another in this life-long commitment to follow Jesus. Seaside Assembly is affiliated with one of the fastest-growing evangelical communities in the World; The Assemblies of God. As members of this global community, we live by these fundamental beliefs.
